Gardening

Dear all,

Sowing a seed is like a new beginning. I like gardening as it is one of my most loved interests. My mom and my school companion “A” were extremely charmed with it. My mom was too much in household duties that she couldn’t spare much time to it yet at the same time she had planted some conventional plants like roses, jasmine, lemon, guava and grapes in our two yards. In my young age, I had seen individuals leaving half of their houses without construction to avail free space. That was the time when generally it was like to sleep in open like yards and rooftop. This open space or a veranda was a gift for such hobbies.

My old friend “A” was so much in to gather books, plants and old postal stamps. His family was related to printing related business and he used to choose distinctive books to interpret in the local language. We invested a considerable time and energy searching for his interests at my bike, bike, and bicycle. His second concern Continue reading “GARDENING – A HOBBY NEAR TO MY HEART”

WASTE OF TIME

Dear all,
Time is money; it is a resource, if spent wisely, is sure to be a key to success. Time is the most precious thing in our life that nobody can afford to waste at any cost. People know it very well but many times just for fun or being habitual, we waste it a lot. Many of us are fond of this activity. They rarely care about it. We are different in nature and habits and so are our behaviors towards our society.
Many of us waste our time by criticizing others just for nothing. They want everything according to their views and will. Any difference in opinion or way of living can offend them very easily. They are a kind of expressive people but waste their skills in wrong direction. Another type of people is who cannot mold themselves according to the changes of life. They stick to traditional things and do not want a change. Such people forbid others to change their lives. Traditions are also very important but we can mold them according to the time and atmosphere.
Most common example of waste of time in our society is the people who study in good institutions and try to find good opportunities for their practical life. Some get rapidly but many fail to do so. Now there are also two kinds in these left behinds. One type is that struggle in different way or accept a medium standard chance for best utilization of time and wait for a good chance, while others do not compromise at any cost. They waste a lot of time by waiting an appropriate chance. Though some of them also achieve their goals but they waste a lot of time.
Actually, my point is that this precious time will never come back so one should utilize it in a positive way. Some other activities like sharing of knowledge are a best solution. We can share online, to help others. We can also utilize our free time by helping others without pay. This will increase our practical knowledge. If you are aiming some job, get additional professional training from institutions. This will help you in the long run and best use of the time.
One should play a constructive part of the society; you should be active and progressive in your fields. In civilized society, people know their duties. They also know to utilize their free time in a optimistic way. When we describe the duties of a civilized person, these are awareness of law and limitation of society. Knowledge of duties and rights is also important. Apart from our financial activities, we should also active in all rights and wrongs of our

society.

Hobbies are very useful to spend our free time; it gives self satisfaction and pleasure. Different activities like games, music, art etc are ways to express ones inner thoughts. Even watching T.V or movies for leisure and information is also a good activity for a little time. These activities could also be beneficial and help us to increase our income in free time. People share their views at social media and getting reward in cash.
Once again, we know the fact that if the time once passed never comes back. So, we should not waste it. We should consume it in a productive way. We have our priorities in our life and can decide which activity is good for us. No outsider can advise you, you are the best judge for yourself. Just decide and go for it, if you are the one who wasted some of your time, do not regret and change your life good and useful for you and others.
Best regards.

DIY-LEARN AND ENJOY

Hello all,

DIY (Do it yourself), my favorite in tutorial and blessing for everyone. It is a good medium for sharing and learning about new things. When you start searching for “how to make a scented candle”, you can find a lot of tutorials on the same subject with different duration. DIYs have become a necessity of life, especially, for household women; some year back they need someone expert for various works at home. Now, due to the internet world, you can find all help on your mobile screen in an easy way. This help is indeed not less than any other experts.
I personally prefer short time tutorials which are concise and elaborative. As we are always running out of time and are in a hurry so such tutorials really suit us. Actually, the reason behind it is that if I am keen to learn about anything, I can grab it with glimpses and need not a complete explanation. Due to DIY, I have learned and made many things at home and repaired my car scratch well. One can become expert with the help of these simple and effective tips that others share their short videos.
Long duration videos are also needed for complete learning as some jobs are tedious and one cannot perform it without meticulous details. I once interested to make puff pastry at home and I opened my phone for help. There were plenty of recipes and DIY to prepare it. At first, I preferred a video with smaller duration but failed to complete my job. Then I reverted to a comprehensive and authentic technique through a longer version and follow each and every step; believe me, it worked.
There is a bad scenario also in this field that many videos you opened are mostly useless. People upload the videos without any authenticity or proper learning. They just try to raise the numbers of their videos on their YouTube channel. Such things are waste of time and should not be uploaded with the DIY title as people are mostly confident that they will find a helpful thing in this section. One should make research and practice before making a video for DIY; it is a matter of trust, learning, and sharing.
Sometimes, you can find some DIY videos with editing, where you will find the procedure and result entirely different. If we work on such tutorials it must be a disappointment. I personally love to open my favorite one on which I trust. And if I have to switch to the other and different subject, I watch the new DIY carefully in order to avoid cheating. There are very small numbers of such fraudulent but still exists. Mostly there is help all around.
It introduces us a world of care and share and everyone can do anything at any time. Once people cannot think of such expertise in their hand but it exists now. The dream comes true, do not miss the chance, learn as much you can. Surprise others with your skills and monetize as well.

ORGANIC FOOD

Hello all,

In South Asia, most of the parents are unhappy with food in these days, they think it is impure. They have reservations regarding the growth of human foods; the chemical sprays and latest techniques to grow more food have destroyed their nutrient values. They think most of the diseases are due to the chemical sprays on fields that are difficult to remove even after a thorough wash. They used to say “Alas! Food was pure in our times”. This disappointment is due to the difference in techniques; once the vegetables and fruits were grown in organic fertilizers. No pesticide, no preservatives; all pure and natural.

Apart from going in depth, latest techniques are necessary for more food to fulfill the increasing requirement of growing population. This is a source to grow more and economical food for those having fewer resources. But we have not lost the chance; we still have it i.e. by growing our own organic food in our kitchen garden. We can do it on our own or can choose someplace all together for combine cultivation for few families. At home, you do not need many of pieces of equipment or techniques, all you require is some extra space and care. Organic vegetable and fruits are very easy to grow and good for health. They could be grown in pots and can be placed anywhere in sunlight or under shade. They can also be kept anywhere like the terrace, lawn, rooftop, laundry area, portable crates, portable shelves or a free space out of your house (if allowed).

Main and compulsory ingredients are healthy seeds (it can be replaced with seedlings from a nursery), pots, organic compost, the mixture of soil and sand, watering shower, a little patience, and passion. The last one is the most important for each and every step of growth. The Internet is full of small and effective ways of initial training. One should focus on organic ways such as organic pesticides, organic fertilizer, and watering techniques. The reason for some training is that different plants have different needs. Some require a lot of water; many needless, a lot need eight hours of sunlight but few are good in the shady area. Several are delicate to treat and fewer are rough and tough.

Do not worry about it, all requirements are manageable. If you have a shady area with less sunshine then pots can be placed on walls with hangings. Plants can be provided with artificial ways of sunlight (IR or UV lamps) or reflection can be made with mirrors (if possible). On the other hand, if there is a lot of sunshine all the day, one can cover the area with shade or garden net. You do not need expensive and stylish pots for kitchen gardening. Extra and cracked buckets, used ice cream containers or thermophore containers are also good for at least kitchen gardening. Every person has his own imaginations and is free to use his mind according to the place and resources. Even waste plastic bottles are being used after modification to grow mint and coriander leaves.

Once you get started, it will grab your attention with daily growth. I love the time when seedlings come out and raise their shoots out of the soil. Recently, I grew tomato and mint at my terrace, it was great and growth was so rapid and extra that we distributed some of them to our neighbors. These pictures are from my kitchen garden. It has less sunlight but I have managed the space. By the time, I have learned many techniques according to my ease. It is a friendly suggestion to all my readers that just for sake of one-time experience, everyone should try it. I am sure it will be a great hobby apart from a good and healthy food.

Best regards.

HOBBIES

Hello all,

Being human is unique because we are not restricted to make efforts for our appetite and sleep only but we have to feed our mind and soul for their refreshment. For this very reason, we have an urge to select some hobbies for self-satisfaction. People around us have many hobbies such as games, cooking, gardening, keeping pets, hiking, socializing, gossips, chatting, movies and many more. Obviously, android games are ahead of all and have made many people addicted.
Hobbies are necessary for us in order to spend our spare time in some positive way as we all know “Empty mind is a devil’s workshop”. With the change in our routines, many things have changed. Once tickets and coin collecting was a very popular hobby in many. In my school days, there was an old man sitting outside our school with three to four albums of tickets in his lap. Many boys including one of my friends, Asif, were keen to sit there and search for something new to elaborate their collections. There were commitments to bring more and unique stamps and exchange was also a routine. Many of them had so many, that they could exchange it for a handsome amount of money but that was just a hobby and not for financial needs. I had also collected some of them but it never caught my interest. I had at that time collected some rare coins that were with me for long but after shifting two to three places, I have misplaced them.
Music has always been my passion, I never cared for the type of music and whatever attracted me was my favorite. Still, my choice is same, I like classics of Mehdi Hassan, Iqbal Bano, Teena Sani, Fareeda Khanum, Manna Day and popular of Alamgir, Nazia Hassan, Zohaib, Junoon, Noori and many more. Film singers are countless like Madam Noor Jahan, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Kishore Kumar, Nayyara Noor, Naheed Akhtar, Mehnaz, Shreya Ghoshal, Arijit Singh and many more. English songs were also on my favorite list but it discontinued right after my first job because there was no one to share and after some time, I left to hear them regularly. There are very few like, Boney M tracks, Last Christmas I gave you my heart, I just want to say I love you, Titanic’s Everytime, Waka Waka, Justin Bieber’s Baby etc. Being specified in music is difficult for me and all types help me to change my mood. I am never the type to listen to sad songs in the heavy mood but I always try to break the temper. “Ghazals(A type of singing in South Asia)” are the only type of music that is not popular with people around me but I love to listen anytime. My favorite is from Abida Parveen, Mehdi Hassan, Jagjeet Singh or Iqbal Bano. The most favorite form of music is “Sufi” and “Folk” both are popular internationally.
Gardening is a hobby that is identified mostly for retired persons but I took this interest from my late mother. She loved to gather some typical types of plants and trees in our home. There were Roses, Jasmine, Guava, Grapes and some vegetables in our kitchen garden. Afterward, my friend Asif also polished my interest and I am still fond of gardening. It is a good use of spare time and also gives satisfaction when you see your hard work has become fruitful in shape of a beautiful flower, a lush green tree or with the organic kitchen garden. The Internet is a good tutor and anyone can start at any time with all the tutorials available on YouTube or any other social site.
DIY’s (Do it yourself) are also very helpful in choosing new interests. People share their experience in a simple way and helping others to adopt new ideas. We should choose only specified and simple tutorials and try to avoid difficult ones at the start. According to me, a difficult procedure will lose the interest of a beginner but a little time-consuming idea will develop the curiosity. Lengthy procedures are helpful but in later stages.
Well, many of us already have their choices. Choose something different, few for self-satisfaction, some for creation, many to relive your daily life and a lot for human betterment. Charity and welfare are also very helpful for inner satisfaction. There are many needy around us, looking for our attention, so try to come ahead. The choice is yours as it is your life.
Best regards.
